Stacey & Devon’s Gold Coast Elopement – A Love Story to Remember
Every couple has a story, but Stacey and Devon’s Gold Coast elopement is one we’ll never forget at Jadore Weddings. Their journey began with the most unlikely spark—a phone call about a power pole. That practical moment quickly blossomed into something truly special, filled with laughter, fun, and an undeniable connection that made capturing their wedding day such a joy for us.
Devon’s devotion to his children—Nadia, Grayson, and Beau—shines through in every interaction, just as Stacey’s love for her daughter Amelia and her role as “Glammy” to Ryder and Everleigh Grace brings warmth to every family moment. Together, Stacey and Devon are partners in crime, sharing inside jokes, good-natured banter, and a love that’s both playful and deeply genuine. Devon treats Stacey like royalty (while never missing a chance to say, “You’re being ridiculous, Stacey Mann!”), and she’s found in him the teammate and confidante she never knew she needed. Even Scooter the cat, inherited from Amelia and now the feisty “Supervisor” of the household, is part of this new family adventure.
When Stacey and Devon first reached out to J’adore Weddings, they were simply looking for photography to capture their intimate Gold Coast elopement. After a few hilarious chats and bonding over our shared love of New Zealand—not to mention promising not to spill the beans to my own family there, just in case—I was delighted when they decided to add an hour of videography to capture their ceremony. It meant so much to them to be able to share those precious moments with friends and family back home in New Zealand, and I felt genuinely honoured to meet Stacey in person and help tell their story in a way that felt truly personal.
Their plans were all about intimacy, love, and celebrating with those closest to them. They travelled from New Zealand and kept their plans a beautiful secret, choosing a stunning house on Paradise Island for their ceremony. With the canals glistening in the background and their family gathered close, Lisa Geros from Ceremonies with Lisa led a heartfelt ceremony that set the tone for the entire day. Stacey looked incredible in her Stella York Wedding Dress, with flawless hair and makeup by Melynda from Make Up by Mely & luxe length and volume thanks to Hello Hair Extensions Perth. Her golden glow was perfected by Spray Tan Co, adding that extra touch of bridal radiance.
As Nadia shared a heartfelt poem and Beau proudly delivered the rings, the family came together in a way that felt deeply personal and moving—moments we at Jadore Weddings felt privileged to witness and capture as their wedding photographers and videographers. Their beautiful cake, lovingly crafted by Cakes by Kate Madison, became the sweet centrepiece of their post-ceremony celebration, surrounded by laughter, stories, and the people who matter most.
After the vows, the celebration continued with cake, laughter, and family photos that radiated happiness. As the sun began to set, we took Stacey and Devon to The Spit for those iconic Gold Coast wedding photos. The golden light was perfect as they strolled the boardwalk, hand in hand, and shared quiet moments on the beach with Surfers Paradise twinkling in the distance. These sunset photos are the kind that make us fall in love with wedding photography all over again—romantic, candid, and full of joy.
From a floral arch with breathtaking city views to the heartfelt family moments and those dreamy, golden-lit portraits, every detail of Stacey and Devon’s destination wedding felt authentic and unforgettable.
