At J'adore Weddings, we have always believed that love stories deserve to be celebrated exactly as they are.
Pride Month is a beautiful reminder to honour authenticity, courage, joy, and the countless ways that love can look. But for so many people in the LGBTQIA+ community, Pride isn't simply something that happens during June. It isn't confined to rainbow flags, parades, or social media posts. It's a way of life. It's living openly, loving fearlessly, choosing yourself every single day, and finding the bravery to exist as exactly who you are. And honestly, I love that.
As a wedding photographer and videographer, I have the incredible privilege of witnessing love in its purest form. I've captured emotional first looks between brides, proud tears shared between grooms, joyful celebrations surrounded by chosen family, and quiet moments that speak louder than words ever could. Different stories. Different journeys. The same overwhelming love. Because love is love !!
At J'adore Weddings, every couple is welcomed with open arms. No matter your gender identity, sexuality, pronouns, background, culture, or the path that brought you to each other, your story matters here. You deserve to feel celebrated, safe, seen, and supported throughout your wedding experience.
In the words of Queen Gaga herself, No matter gay, straight, or bi Lesbian, transgender life , You were born this way. I think Those words have become an anthem for so many people around the world. A reminder that there is no one right way to love, to exist, or to build a life with the person who makes your heart feel at home.
Wedding days have never been about fitting into a mould. They have always been about creating a celebration that reflects who you truly are. Whether that's two brides dancing beneath fairy lights, two grooms exchanging vows overlooking the ocean, or a celebration that beautifully breaks every traditional expectation, your wedding should feel unapologetically you.
Over the coming weeks, I'll be sharing some of the incredible couples I've had the honour of documenting. You'll see love stories between brides and brides, grooms and grooms, and couples whose weddings remind us that the most beautiful moments happen when people are free to love openly and honestly.
Because at the end of the day, that's what weddings are really about.
Not tradition for tradition's sake.

It's about finding your person.
It's about choosing each other.
It's about standing in front of the people you love and saying, "This is us."

To every LGBTQIA+ couple planning a wedding, dreaming of the future, navigating a world that hasn't always made space for your story, or simply loving each other quietly and courageously, thank you for allowing people like me to witness your joy.
