Adam and Kirsten’s wedding at O'Reilley's Canungra Valley Vineyards was the culmination of a love story that had been ten years in the making. Having met while working at Darwin Airport, their relationship began with a rather unusual encounter—Adam almost ran Kirsten over with a truck. What could have been a disaster turned into the start of something truly special. After that moment, they began talking, and the rest, as they say, is history.
Their wedding day was set against the stunning backdrop of Canungra Valley, with the serene vineyards providing a beautiful and intimate setting for their celebration. Adam and Kirsten spent the morning getting ready at the peaceful Greenlee Cottages in Canungra, a perfect retreat before the excitement of the day unfolded.
Every detail of the wedding reflected the couple’s style and connection. Kirsten’s bouquet and floral arrangements, created by Rocket and Rose Studios, were a perfect match for the natural beauty surrounding them. She looked radiant in her gown from Grace Loves Lace, while Adam and the groomsmen were dressed impeccably in Peter Jackson suits. The soft candlelight and decor, thoughtfully provided by Daisey Events, added an extra layer of elegance to the celebration.
A personal touch that made this day even more meaningful was the involvement of my dear friend Jemma, from High Voltage Hair & Beauty, who worked her magic with Kirsten’s hair and makeup. Initially, Kirsten had booked another videographer, but after Jemma’s recommendation, she decided to make the switch to me. I was honoured to be part of her day, especially knowing that personal connection made it possible.
After the wedding, I was touched to receive the kindest note from Kirsten. She wrote: "We just wanted to reach out and say a massive thank you once again!!! You were amazing! Paul was just the most amazing person we’ve met! He was funny and exceptionally helpful and patient with our inabilities 😂.We will be recommending you both to anyone who listens 🥰🥰 .”
I’m having the best time going through all her beautiful photos and reliving the magic of her special day.
One of the things that made this wedding so unique for me was how frequently Kirsten and I communicated before the big day. We exchanged countless messages, and by the time the wedding arrived, I felt so prepared and connected to her vision. It’s rare to have such an open line of communication, and it made the entire experience feel even more personal.
Another beautiful and intimate moment from the day was when Adam and Kirsten exchanged private vows before the ceremony. Watching them share those quiet words was incredibly moving, setting the tone for the rest of the celebration. Kirsten’s love for the black-and-white aesthetic was another element that added character to the day, making it not only timeless but deeply heartfelt.
Looking back on Adam and Kirsten’s wedding, I feel incredibly grateful and honoured to have been chosen to capture such a significant milestone in their lives. It was an unforgettable day, and I’m so happy to have played a part in preserving those memories for them.
