Gladstone Wedding Adventure!! Will & Jess

Straight from the first time I spoke to Will on the phone I knew we where going to get along I answered the phone and asked him how his day was going and he said bloody fantastic!! From there we started to talk about what time the guys & girls would be getting ready but overall had a great chat, immediately he made me look forward to the road trip out to Gladstone. A few hours later Will contacted me again, this time he had an idea. He said me & a few of the boys are going to go ride our dirt bikes in the morning before we get ready is this something you would be interested in filming; I was going to be making the trip up with Sunny & both of us loved the idea so we started brainstorming straight away.

Sunny & I jumped in one of the boy’s utes, I nominated Sunny to film from the tray as the bikes trailed behind us on our steady cam. The boys went crazy & was not long at all before we had our 1st and the 2nd stack with in a matter of minutes which was also followed by one of the boys breaking of their front breaks and having to zip tie it to the bike. Both times the guys jumped straight up rearing to go for more. We then went to a section where they could do a few jumps & then a road where they could cruise while I got the drone up. Not something I would recommend for everybody but Will was obviously a pretty skilled rider & didn't push it to far. Sunny & I had an absolute ball, we felt just like one of the boys.

Jumping to the reception we had a bit of a break after the entry until the speeches, I couldn't wait to view the footage from the bikes so I pulled it up on the laptop which I always have with me. I then showed a few of the lads especially the one clip where one of the boys got cut of and went over at speed. Will asked me if I was able to put a quick edit together and we could play it later at the reception. I agreed & started chipping away immediately.

Below you will find the dirt bike video, I hope you enjoy watching it as much as we do. Will pretty much stopped the reception to give us the biggest of compliments which left us both feeling satisfied as well as thinking we would love to catch up with not just the guys but Jess & the girls. They all seem like a tight group that like to get the most out of life.

Moving on from our morning adventure I left sunny with the boys to take some footage of them getting ready & I made my way to meet Jess & the girls. One of my favourite parts of the video was when she walked from the bedroom & the girls in the lounge room got to see her in her dress for the first time, these moments are what makes my job so enjoyable.

Heading of to the ceremony, I quickly got a park at the Gladstone Marina, made the mad dash & started to set up tripods, cameras & audio. For the bride’s arrival, they had a talented musician playing a few acoustic songs & Will's massive smile on show. Was a cute ceremony setup & in no time the ceremony was over, group & family photos then commenced.

For the photos section we went to the Gladstone Botanical Gardens with a great mix of greenery and a lake for us to work with we immediately got excited part of our job during this section is to let our couples be in the moment and fade into the background when we can & just let the real emotions of the day flow. That wasn't to hard with these guys as your really could see the love in their eyes for each other, It was also an opportunity for me to get the drone in the air and get some aerial footage.

Heading to the reception everybody was already relaxed and started to get into party mode, a few great speeches and some stories a great live band and lots of dancing the party had officially begun it was actually sad to eave these guys, I think we both would have loved to party on and see where the night goes, but as we had a bit of a drive ahead of us we decided to head home.

We loved our Gladstone adventure and we hope that you enjoy following their journey through our videos. Please share and comment!

Carly & Luke Wedding Photo & Video Nation Botanical Gardens Canberra

This comic book love is like no other. Being apart of their day was a great expirence , we actually had the opportunity to get to know Luke & Carly before there wedding day, as we did there engagement photo shoot, We got along really well the banter started flowing so I knew we where going to have a great day being a part of their wedding day.

Heading to the boys place in the morning was no different, as we walked in the door the jokes where flowing and laughter a plenty especially as they rehearsed the rap that Carly had prepared for their entry to reception. Once Luke had his suit on, we headed over to shoot the final moments of the girls getting ready.

Carly's dress looked exquisite on her, starting from the hand sewn lace bodice, she accentuated her look with a lavish perl necklace, earrings and bracelet to match her dreamy look. With her hair done up, and the purple bouquet of flowers resting against her side, Carly was ready to finally take that next step forward.

Collaborating with the purple bouquet, Carly tied her theme well with her two out of three brides maids wearing a lavender long gown, and the other wearing a darker purple.

The ceremony was held at the National Botanical Gardens. This beautiful place is home to an array of native plants from all over Australia, and makes such a humbling place for a ceremony. I always love it when the bride and groom write their own vows, it's a sense of putting everything you have out their in the open for everyone to see. Luke & Carly didn't disappoint, from their explanations of loving each other more than Doctor who, to gathering each other more than cake.  Apart from the beautiful yet comedic notions, It's such an enriching moment when both people start to get the hint of tears in their eyes.

We went to an array of locations when shooting the photo section. While getting to know Luke & Carly plus their bridal crew, it became clear that this group of fun loving individuals, were in for a day full of adventures, laughs, and inside jokes.

After trekking through the gardens The next location was the Rydges Capital Hill Canberra. Putting you in the heart of Australia’s thriving capital for the reception. We love hearing all the speeches from friends and family, Carly also did half of her speech in Japanese as she spent a few years over there and her host family had come to Australia for her wedding which you could tell meant alot.

When looking at the first dance, a lot of people think that its nothing more than just a tradition. This was anything but that, with this couple, as Resolution by Matt Corby play, Luke held onto Carly for dear life. The lighting was perfect as the ambience created a more toned down and intimate setting perfectly needed.

Please take a few minutes to watch their story on the video and view the images that we feel tell the story the best. Please feel free to share and leave a comment.

Wedding Highlight Video

Wedding Photography Story

Simon & Jodie Photography & Videography, Down Convery's Lane, Byron Bay

Getting the opportunity to travel all around the state with the J'adore team is the perfect job. Better yet, we meet these new and inspiring people, this was no different for our latest Byron bay wedding. The sun was high in the air and it seemed like everything was coming together perfectly for Jodie and Simon.

As Simon and his groomsmen party were leaving earlier in true Byron Bay style with a vintage Combie van, we arrived at our beachside destination, 'beach suites'.  Just in time, our videographer and photographer 'Jess and Matt' were able to get some great exiting shots of the Grooms crew, right before they pulled out and drove to their next big adventure.

Walking into the stylish boutique studio, our latest bride Jodie was wearing a mermaid style themed gown which complimented the jewel encrusted embroidery on the bodice of her exquisite dress. This was complemented perfectly with her brown hair down in soft curls, and there was no denying that Jodie, looked beautiful. . The smiles of her and her brides maids filled the air, as her prepossessing smile brightened up the Byron bay hotel.  accentuating Jodie's Bridal theme, the bouquet was strewn with pale pink and cream roses.

Just as we were getting the last of our shots with the oceanic backdrop before the Jodie went off in her stretch hummer; two tourist double decker buses pulled up right out the front. Courtesy  of  The Magic Bus Company, the stylish bus didn't disappoint as the guest bus was filled with hoots and laughter as the guests tried to capture a glimpse of Jodie before they continued on to the ceremony.

The ceremony was held an hour away in the hinterlands away from Byron bay, we continued our journey to the rustic themed venue called Down Convery's lane.  The wedding venue provided the perfect rustic theme as the 5 acred place surrounds itself with lush rainforests and 100 year old fig trees. As everything was out in the open under the tree top canopies, this brought our everyone laid back nature as live music prepared the guests for the what was to happen next. Still nervous tension bubbled around, while Simon stood under the picturesque arch way.

As apart of every wedding day, Jodie and Simon got creative for the photo section and the team travelled to an abandoned park where both the tourist Byron bay double decker bus and the hummer could meet together and transition into a beautiful picture. Working with the Bridal party was a joy and entertaining. From getting those cute/ funny shots on the colourful bus, to taking Simon and Jodie aside to create a more intimate moment; It was hard to put the camera down when infectious smiles were spread across everyone's faces.

Leading back to the reception, the lights were coming on and the sun was setting. The live music was playing but over shadowed by the laughter that followed the venue around by the guests. A three course meal was prepared and presented beautifully with a variety of meats and a deliciously herbed beetroot salad. The night further progressed with hilarious and heartfelt speeches.

Towards the end of the night, everything was winding down but the people weren't. It's interesting how easily people let go, how quickly they lose touch at what surrounds them as the atmosphere is full of positivity. The best shots are always those that are found when no one is looking at night on the dance floor.

As it reached 11pm, it was clear that everyone had, had the most perfect time. We ask ourselves at the end of the night what the most memorable parts of the day was? Without a doubt, from the moment we got to finally meet Simon and Jodie; to the good byes at the end. The whole day was filled with hilarious moments (including speeches).

Braeside Chapel Wedding Video, Chris & Jarooni

Chris and I are long time friends so even though Chris was determined to try and make sure I relaxed and enjoyed being of of the guests, which I did but at the same time it was also great to be part of the guys getting ready and their photos section and do some video work aswell as getting the drone up in the air, The very talented Sunny was the other videographer for the day. Chris and Jarooni chose Braeside chapel on the Gold Coast as there venue. One of the reasons I love this venue is that everything is in one location. They have chapel for your ceremony, Just enough land to be able to get a few different locations for the photos and the undercover reception area. It makes doing Photography and Video so much easier as there is plenty of time to setup and plan things, They also had a rehersal which is always good because it gives me a chance to go through the motions of the ceremony as every ceremony is different and its best to be as prepared as possible, also to do things like check audio levels and outputs aswell as have a chat to the celebrant. A few things I like to talk the couple through are things like how to put your rings on while still facing your hand to the front so everybody and also the cameras can see. One of the other points I generally bring up at a rehersal is for the celebrant to move out of the way before the kiss, I learnt early that having a celebrants head directly behond 2 people kissing isn't a good look. Always have a few other small bits and pieces like the celebrant announcing the couple will be walking straight back down the isle it's amazing how many times uncle John in the 5th row will jump out in front of them and stop them to congratulate them on there was back down the isle if it's not formally announced.

Jarooni & Chris just seem to fit, right since the start Chris knew that Jarooni was going to be his wife one day. Seeing how they interact and treat each other is a inspiration to all around them. Something that Jarooni mentioned in the ceremony which I included in the highlights is that Chris holds Jaroonis hand every night when she falls asleep, I think that sums it up really.

I hope you enjoyed the video massive thanks to Chris & Jarooni for letting me be part of your amazing wedding day and look forward to many more catch ups. Please leave a comment and let us know what you honk of the video.
