Meet the J'adore Team - Rob

What a Journey! I am so lucky to have had so many amazing experiences that has led me to this point. I was just a typical aussie tradie, when 1 of my friends entered me in the Gold Coast's hottest trade comp in which I did pretty well, from there I was approached about doing a few photo shoots which then introduced me to some photographers some of which are still my best friends to this day, Long storey short wasn't long after that I picked up a camera.

I started by just shooting Landscapes and then worked to shooting a few friends in the park and then wasn't long before I got asked to shoot my first wedding for a friend who was on a budget. I loved the experience and really enjoyed it, I LOVE weddings, Some feel that they don't enjoy the pressure but I think it brings the best out in me.

After 5 years of Wedding Photography I decide to take on the challenge of my first Wedding Video. This was a massive moment for me I have never looked back. Being able to capture the stories and emotions right from the nervous tension at the start of the day till the dance moves come out on the dance floor  (which I have been known to make a appearance on).

Here are a few of my favourite Images and Videos from my journey so far.

Meet the J'adore Team - Adam

What can I say, I'm a husband to a beautiful wife 15 years now (married very young) a father to 3 gorgeous kids 2 1/2 year old twins one of each and a 6 month old girl. Where did I get my start in the wedding industry? My wife and myself spent 6 years living in England and travelling throughout Europe while there I was invited by a good friend to help out with a Indian wedding in London. I was hooked!

This is what I wanted to do share peoples special days with them documenting the love and emotion the laughs and tears. This sent me on my journey of self discovery endless workshops and constant development to find my style.

What is my style? People are my style, relationships in particular, connecting couples in a way that they didn't realise existed. Sharing their thoughts their feelings their emotions a simple touch a whisper a laugh or a tear.

The team from Jadore Weddings got was approached to be one of Byron Bay Premium Wedding Suppliers for the  Byron Bay Wedding Fair this year, we jumped at the opportunity as we would love to do more wedding photography as well as our wedding videos in this beautiful part of Australia.

The Byron Bay Wedding Fair is a unique event to the Byron region, which aims to assist couples looking to get married in the area find both heir perfect wedding venue, as well as the suppliers with the skills and talents to help bring their Byron Bay wedding dreams to life!

Day one we were stationed at The Fig Tree which was a converted farmhouse it offers stunning views over Byron Bay all set under a huge fig tree. We got told that the very popular Fig tree host over a 100 weddings a year. The staff where very friendly and we can't wait to shoot our 1st Fig Tree Wedding.

Day two we were set up at Graciosa an Iconic farmhouse set on 79 acre farm set on a beautiful hill thats overlooking rolling green fields and Bangalow town, its grand and luxurious yet with a relaxed and rustic feel. Its only a new view but seems to have a lot of interest.

After we were set up at Graciosa for the day we decided to get in the car and go have a look at a few of the other venues the Wedding Fair had to offer, which included Byron View Farm, Horizons and Secret Garden. Rob takes his camera & Gimbal everywhere and got some footage of the venues, as a bit of a after thought we decided to make into a little video to show you a small insight into what beautiful Byron Bay has to offer.

First up was Horizons which is an ideal wedding venue for someone wanting a more private indoor or outdoor ceremonies in a luxurious, scenic location. Horizon allows you to hold your ceremony, reception, accommodation and a relaxing weekend all at the one luxurious location.

Next on our map of paces to go was Byron View Farm the original 100 year old farm house is complemented by a cosy cottage which is private and secluded, luxuriously appointed and fully self contained. Byron View Farm commands the highest property in the Byron Shire with almost 360 degree uninterrupted sweeping ocean to mountain views, and only 10 minutes to the beach.

Last but not least before we decided to crash for the night was Secret Garden which is just as the name suggests - a private oasis in the heart of Byron Bay. This stunning landscaped wonderland is filled with hidden treasures including a variety of sculptures, a vintage school bus hand painted by Australian artist David Bromley and other painted outdoor artworks.

Please check out the video and let us know what you think and also which 1 is your favourite venue.

Rob also did a photography blog about the early morning sunrise photo shoot and 4k timelapse that we did up at the Byron Bay Lighthouse follow the link if you want to check it out!!

Wawrick Wedding Video Adventure

When I first touched base with Kylie I could just tell that her wedding video was one that I really wanted to do, Firstly I love traveling for weddings it feels like each one is a new adventure which so far has taken me all over Australia and brought some amazing adventures.

So after Kylie & Simon had seen some of my other videos and we had a chat in the phone things where locked in fairly quickly. The quote was just for myself for the day but as I had recently been working with another great wedding photographer Adam who was interested in doing some video I asked him if he wanted to join me for the day on my adventure to Warick and he was more then happy to accept. So we both got up at 6am to start the track out to Warwick to arrive around 930 and get straight into it, getting a few nice dress and detail shots followed by some hair and make up footage along with some fun footage, we then decided to head of to the boys place which as expected where typically laid back with 2 of the groomsmen still not there yet we did some details shots and a mock getting ready of Simon then once the rest if the crew arrived did some casual shots out by the BBQ

Back to the girls to get the final putting on of the dress and and skylines AMAZING departure in the horse and carriage I really lived that and I think have added it to my list of must have for my wedding one day. We then raced ahead to the church which breathtaking as you will be able to tell from the video, the ceremony went pretty fast as I tried to get all angles covered including a upstairs area which was a great vantage point. After that we set of with the bridal party for photos and they really where full of fun and laughter we let the photographer Natalie guide things and just had the odd bit of input here and there she was great to work with and can't wait to see her images. We then set of to the reception which was in the big town hall another amazing venue, there where some great speeches and lots of dancing and love in the air.

I hope you LOVE the video as much as I do. We would love to hear your feedback

Wedding Video & Photography Combo

I first met with James & Mandy last year, I felt like there was a great connection from the start and that there wedding really did sound AMAZING with a really cute little venue for the ceremony to a great spot for the reception which was the new shopping area at emerald lakes, I hadn't been there yet so I decided to check out the area and do a model shoot there just to get accustomed to the area. I generally try to do this as it gives me a good feel for new areas that u haven't shot in yet. I assembled the team which included Tim who u flew up from Melbourne who has a very unique intimate candid style which lots of clients love and Dwayne who is a seasoned wedding photographer bit just on the Gold Coast and Brisbane but had shot a lot in Sydney aswell he uses a lot of flash and makes some really wow images. There styles are very different which is why I love putting them together and for the video I had Matt with me as usual when ever he isn't tavelling the world I love working with him his style is very creative and brings a fresh attitude to wedding videos. Below is the final result if the video We would all love to head from you in the comments section.

As for the photography I have some images from both Dwayne and a black & white slideshow that time prepared for the clients. There where lots of tears shed on the day firstly by James mums & dad when reading a letter that Mandy had written to them and then when Mandy was reading her letter from James, We then hit the ceremony where Mandy's emotional vows not only brought her to tears but sadly enough Tim and I both later admitted to following her lead, she really is very passionate and they are such a great match for each other with James being her rock. As usual we had a lot of fun spending the day with James, Mandy and there friends and family it really is the best job in the world, The other new thing we brought in for this wedding was the photobooth I have also written a blog about this to click here if you would like to know more, Finally we are excited to see them all again soon as we are also doing the photo and video for James's brothers wedding Lewis with his partner Natasha. Thanks for reading I look forward to chatting again soon.
