Lennon & Emma's photography and videography Kangaroo Point Gold Coast

We are always keen to see which location will be our next in Brisbane as it’s one of our more popular destinations aside from our home on the Gold coast. On April 1st 2016 it was Lennon and Emma’s grand day. As relatives from all over the world ranging from Nigeria to the uk ventured to Australia to be here, nerves and excitement was in the air.

Our first location in Brisbane was the Grooms apartment, we turned up fully packed from head to toe in photography/videography gear as one of Lennon’s groomsmen lead us into the lounge room. Quickly setting up our equipment, Sunny the main photographer of the day launched into action to get some pre detailed shots of the rings/ accessories. Lennon had such a cheeky smile as he emerged from the room, ready to get the show on the road. As all of his groomsmen took turns in helping him put on his black and white suits, we were finished in no time, and off to our next location; the lovely bride to be Emma.

Helping Emma prepare for her day was her two bridesmaids and maid of honour, her sister. Accompanying her was her immediate family joining in on the festivities.  We arrived at the location Emma was getting ready at in no time. Just as she was finishing getting her make up, we jumped into action, getting some great video shots, for their long/short version. After the make up artist was finished we took all of the girls into a room and had a bit of fun mucking around with some games, which created a break out of laughter perfect for video/ photos.

Now it was time for the show to start moving, and this meant it was time for Emma to slip on her dress/shoes. With a dress made of lace with an open back, she looked simply radiant, not a veil on her head but an accessory still to feature, suited Emma's feature's well, as her smile came out.

The ceremony was held at the Trinity Church in fortitude valley, with the style of the building resembling an early english gothic tone; the gable roof and arched doorways collaborate with our keen eye of taking the best creative shots.  On the interior an arcade of cast iron pillars define the edges of the nave and suppose the clerestory walls and roof. This quaint yet beautiful church was perfect for Emma and Lennon as it sufficiently housed all of their guests without being in the way of our camera and video crew.

The reception/ photo section was being held in a completely different place. Located on the side of Kangaroo point Cliff and the other side you're looking at the stunning river city views. The Sunset Marquee is the perfect venue to hold an amazing venue. Spacious and fully closable, we enjoyed a spectacular sunset over the city, as the photos illustrated a 'Golden Twilight'. Poised on a rustic sandstone plinth, the venue's distinct differentiation and appreciation was themes tied in well with Lennon and Emma's rustic theme

One of the more surprising details was the fact that this was the first wedding in Emma’s family, to make matters better; the whole entire family was there to support her, and you could feel the liven the air.

One of the main speeches that stuck with me was the brother of Lennon’s. He was soo happy that they had another female in the family, aside from that he was genuinely ecstatic at his brother Lennon, finally finding happiness, finding this person that he wanted to spend the rest of his life with. Lennon shed a few tears between speeches and you couldn’t help but shed them with him.

Boyce Avenue seemed to be a favourite for the couple as this was the first dance song played. It was full of infectious laughter and smiles, rather than tears per say, and this didn't stop the couple from breaking out right away. The guests surrounding the dance floor was all the more eager to get out their and have their own turn getting down on the dance floor.  So much great footage was shot, as all the hands clapped in the air and the music progressed on throughout the night.

It was a pleasure shooting for Lennon and Emma, this is the couple that managed to find each other, but also worked exceedingly hard to stay together no matter what was thrown in their way. From Lennon having to work free manual labour just to stay in Australia, to Emma making the decision to move over to England, I see this couple going for, and from J'adore we wish them the best life possible.

Sandi & Marina Videography Cloudland Gold Coast

As we are slowly heading into winter the days are getting colder, but that didn’t stop Marina and Sandi from getting married on the 14th of May 2016. Getting ready at the same place, it was a lot easier for our crew to capture every single detail. While Rob and and I went to Sandi and the boys first, Sunny our other videographer  head straight for Marina.

We spent a bit of time alternating between the bride and groom, not missing a detail, but getting different view points. From Sunny's shooting up close to get Marina’s best make up shots, to Rob going wide to get Sandi’s sister Cindy putting Marina’s veil. With pearls going from the top of the bodice in lines straight down, Marina’s was a vision to see. Accessorising with her look was pale white roses that collaborated with three brides maids dresses she’d picked out. All three girls, with there hair out and curled to the side made a an excellent composition.

Having three Groomsmen and one ‘Mario’ the brother of the bride, everything seemed to be running smoothly.  And they were all full of smiles. One of the more sophisticated suits, Sandi had collaborated his plane black tuxedo with her crisp white shirt and bow tie to match the cheeky smile on his face. All four boys managed to get ready quickly, and we shared a few laughs as the nerves were starting to set in.

Before Sandi ventured off to the ceremony. Marina had a few perfect/different idea’s for her photos. Grabbing Sandi’s hand gently from the other side of the door. it was cheeky as they both glanced at the door, an object parting them away, you could just feel the tension.

Yet another one of Marina’s quirky idea’s was tying a tie gently around Sandi’s face as she cups his cheeks and rests her head against his. They both have infectious smiles that it was hard not to not get caught up in the moment with the both of them.

Turning up at the ceremony, we were fortunate enough to be shooting at Cloud land in fortitude valley Brisbane. Cloudland is a spectacular venue designed with luxury interiors on a scale unrivalled in Brisbane. Its unique style makes it more than just a venue, uplifting guests to a world of glamour, elegance and imagination. Once the top floor of the heritage Empire Hotel – a beautiful old grand dame of Fortitude Valley’s most treasured historic buildings – the Moon Room features the charm of massive floor to ceiling windows, private bar, ornamental wrought iron façade with balconies and ample natural light.

During the ceremony, before it ended they had both written each other personal letters only to be read if the couple was in a time of great difficulty, this beautiful gesture was sealed with a case of wine. and the couple was off to start their married life together.

For the photo section we ventured to a near by park close to Fortitude valley. The park featured a wide open area, so it was a lot easier/safer for our videographer Rob to get out the drone and have a bit of fun with the bridal party.

Turning back up to Cloud land in Fortitude valley, we came upon the discovery that the reception was being held in a completely seperate part of the venue. The Heritage Room offers an elegantly refined yet commanding presence to your function, reception or conference.  With frames lining the wall and chandeliers dotted along the ceiling, the Heritage Room is elegant and refined. Whether you are holding a business conference, a wedding reception or cocktail function, this space is set to impress. The Heritage Room can hold 120 people banquet style and 300 people cocktail style.

Later on at the reception, when the speeches were starting to be conducted, Marina’s father had brought a special present ‘her dummy’. This little notion was cute and personal. There was plenty of people that got up and wanted to say their praise to the happy couple, and each and every individual had their own personal story to tell. when the first dance came, it was a completely different song, that we'd not encountered yet. 'Close to you' a slow version by Calvin Harris featured in their night, and their first dance was beautiful.  As the song was nearing I could tell that Marina was starting to tear up a little. After the legalities had finished it was time to start partying!

Their night was full of everyone belting out their favourite lyrics to a particular song, the photo booth was a great hit, as it always is, with all of the family members giving it a go. One of the best things about being apart of this job, is getting to be apart of the different cultured weddings.  We are always open to friendly people, and when we see a whole crew letting lose, it amazing to watch and just be apart of.

Caleb & Samantha Melbourne Wedding Photo & Video

Welcome to our blog from the time we spent with Caleb & Samantha on their Wedding Day, The location was Melbourne, We started with the guys at Narre Warren North Caleb and the boys where super fun, relaxed and very welcoming. Didn't take them long to put their suits on before we went to our next stop which was one of the more emotional moments for the boys as caleb his mum & brothers visited his dad at the cemetary on his big day. We love it when we get to cover our weddings with Photography and Video and capture all the emotions that the day has to offer.

Bride preparation always goes very fast before we knew it we where of to the ceremony location at St Pauls Catholic Church in Coburg, It is a amazing venue we loved the venue the emotions and atmosphere the ceremony provided.

Fitzroy Gardens was our next stop for the photos section of the day, We had a lot of fun with the bridal party got some great images and footage for the video. This is generally a great time for everybody to relax and take in some of the special moments and the moments in-between as well.

Nick & Skye Palm Beach Wedding Photography and Video, Gold Coast

On the 23th of April 2016 we were setting out on a beachside wedding  surrounded by the lush GoldCoast lifestyle and under the natural light.

As we were turning up to Skye’s location in Molendinar, one of her bridesmaids were already in the midst of preparing breakfast for the famished bride. Between that and finding the jar full of little notes from all of their closest friends, we decided to play a little game; where Skye would read out some of her heartfelt notes. Getting to hear all of the little sentimental messages, gave us a sense already as to who Skye was, a gentle yet loveable person that seemed to be cherished. As we managed to find our way into the room where the dresses were located, to the side was her sparkly high heels that completed her beautiful mermaid white gown.

As we rounded to the boys, we knew we were in for an interesting ride. One of the greatest added benefits of getting ready next to the ceremony, is the free time you have, this relieves stress and gives you more time to be relaxed before the ceremony.

As Nick had three Groomsmen helping him on the day, these three individuals had managed to stay close friends for over a decade. Through all of the hilarious stories yet to be explained, they’re a funny crew to work with. When it was time for Nick to start getting ready, dark navy blue pants tied in really well with his grey tie and crisp white shirt.

Even after getting ready though, their journeys had not been complete yet, as they both had presented each other a gift before they both set off to the ceremony.  As Skye described her decision about meeting back up with Nick after years out of school it was a tough choice between being a ‘nana’ or going out and hitting the town in Fortitude valley to start drinking. This decision quickly became one of the best choices of her life, as it led her to that exact moment. A sentimental watch was then presented before his eyes, and it became one of his something ‘new’ gifts.

"Love and laughter, hugs and kisses, now and forever Mr and Mrs" that's how Nicks letter to skye started. He starts off by saying that he can't wait to marry his best friend, the person that he's shared soo many memories with. Between wishing for the most perfect day to come, and reassuring her that there's nothing to worry about, she closed the card and the water works erupted.  This is one of the best parts about being apart of this job, it's the feel our clients give us as we begin to understand more on who they are as individuals and why these two people want to come together, forever. This was inexplicably obvious with the exchanging of gifts and personal letters.

As the ceremony was being held out under the sun at the Pacific surf club Palm beach, it was a close journey between Molendinar, but we managed to effectively set up all our gear, finding the best positions for the ceremony parts. We were in a bit of a battle against the natural elements like the wind, but luckily everything was on our side.

The ceremony outside was done up exquisitely, with small crystallised balls hanging in a line straight down the centre of the walkway leading up to Nick, a red carpet making her dress pop, and chandelier hanging at the front under the curtains of the archway. As the ceremony was starting, some could say that it was quite a public affair, but as they both stipulated, everyone that had been invited came, and they felt soo cherished and grateful for the response.

Another quirky tradition that both Nick and skye had put in their ceremony was the Love letter and wine box ceremony.  A love letter exchange is a romantic ceremony that will serve as a lasting reminder of the commitments made to one another. Heartfelt letters, encapsulating your thoughts and feelings are locked away in a wine box to be revealed several years into the marriage or when such difficult times arise.

Usually a bottled beverage is placed in the box with two cups to signify a lasting union no matter how bad the times are. Bubbles were filling the air as the ceremony was set to finish with a walk down the aisle down by our latest happy couple.

With all of our crew set to emerge on the beach, we knew we were in for an amazing afternoon jam packed with the beach as our backdrop.  We were really fortunate with the afternoon setting out to have one of those rare but beautiful sunrises.

As we flash forwards to the reception, the guests of the day found it easy as the function was held above in the function room. This stunning beachfront location is a great location! As the Surf club provides you with amazing customer service, the gourmet food as well did not disappointment.

When we get to the speeches, it's always another one of our favourite things. As all of the stories from a kid emerging into an adult come out, it's always amazing yet different to hear what each client gets up to. without a doubt the best man speech was quite hilarious yet notably ended with everyone prominently seeing that even at one of his most intoxicated moments the cricket, the only thing he was worried about was Skye. This brought a few tears to my eyes.

With a live band playing all of the upbeat tunes, the night continued to progress along in the best way for Nicholas and Skye, the night didn't die down as the both of them could be seen either on the dance floor or catching up with old friends. We hope they live a happy and fulfilled life together, and from what we've seen we know they will.

Please enjoy the images that we feel tell the story the best from there day.  We will be post the video soon so stay tuned.

Keith & Amiria Wedding Video & Photography God Coast Mt Tamborine

On the 6th of May 2016, Jadore was lucky enough to take our vehicle’s up the hill, surrounding ourselves with the beauty of Tamborine mountain.  Located in the hinterland of the Gold coast, this place is perfect for your wedding venue if you're wanting a more intimate and private affair, while also getting the added benefits of a tranquil scenery.

While the boys were getting their suits on down the road, the girls were lucky enough to have everything specifically organised at the Reception/ceremony. Quickly getting some great video snaps of her dress that had diamanties accentuated around the bodice, we were set upon the journey of creating the best day possible for our latest clients.

Our other two employee's took charge by heading to Keith's getting ready location, and was pleasantly at ease with Keith straight away. His loving smile, and easy going nature made our jobs on the day so much better. An added bonus was the cream vests and white shirts that made the brown accessories he used pop out more in photos, for that rustic look.

The time was ticking down as the ceremony was set to be conducted soon. Amiria was lucky enough to have three bridesmaids helping her on the day, and time flew by quickly without any of us realising.  The room while full of people, it was bubbling with energy that was nervousness and excitement all at once.

The ceremony, was an intimate and private affair, but that didn’t stop anyone from shedding a tear or two, and you could see the the tears being shed from both sides with emotional vows that got us all on a rollercoaster.

After the readings were conducted and the formalities had been concluded, it was time to celebrate with platters of delicious seafoods, and canapés that all of the guests could enjoy outside under the natural light. This is perfect for photos, as natural lighting is some of our favourite photos.

When we reached the photo section, we were overjoyed by the extra set of company we were provided, two dogs, one gigantic, to the point where if he barrelled us down the hill, we’d keep rolling, and a cute shitsu with an outfit to match it's personality.  Keith, Amiria and the whole bridal party was exceptional to work with, while also having a few laughs to themselves, they were relaxed and open to any idea’s we gave them. We trialled quite a few locations, and it wouldn’t have been easy on Amiria’s feet in Mt Tamborine with heels, but she managed without any hassle.

One of the unique personal touches Amiria had situated around her reception was the cute treats for her guests. From the personalised caramel popcorn to the little olive glass containers, each little gift to the side had their own personal touch added to it's elements. Their cake had simple touches with a saying "All you need is love" lightly placed on the top of the white cake with a creamish/brown ribbon wrapped around.

I always love seeing what song our clients will pick for their first dance song, as I believe it reflects on their love and the journey they went through to get to this final stage. 'Given the chance' by the Kite string tangle was beautiful, their first dance wasn't a choreographed set up, but more so soft intimate swaying that eventually led into the party getting started with the more techno beats as everyone stated to expel their energy.

To tie this beautiful event together perfectly, Keith and Amiria had rented out a photo booth completely covered with every prop imaginable and the guests were sure to use it. All up it was a great day! From getting to see the lovely views of Tamborine mountain to being able to fly our drone over the hills perfect for such an event like this wedding.
