Reece & Rhiannon Palmer Gold Coast.

Having gone to Reece & Rhiannon's wedding rehearsal early in the week, the J'adore team was more than keen to get stuck right in the action of things.  Their little love story first began with Reece's story and his journey to find god and therefore his bride later on. It started off in the most unlikeliest of all places, it's a beautiful moment when something changes your whole perceptions and views on the world, whether intentional or not. Reece changing his lifestyle as he allowed God to come into his world, eventually led him to Rhiannon, the love of his life. Like the beautiful fairytale, Reece met hit Bride  at Metro church, as they both have been going there for quite a considerable amount of time, you could almost say it's like their second home.

When we turned up Rhiannon place, where she was getting ready with her chosen bridesmaids, she adjourned her bridal crews look with floor length light blue brides maids gowns and their hair slightly curled to the side and done up.  We got right into the action of things, setting up both photo and video, as it was crunch time and the limo was leaving soon to go to the ceremony.

The ceremony was starting, with the music starting to play, and the gear was quickly set up with the groomsmen being lapelled to get the perfect audio, the ceremony was taking place at Palmer Gold Coast.  If you're looking for the perfect romantic outdoor wedding venue, than look no further than Palmer Gold Coast's spectacular Sandstone love heart.  Complete with an arch and a perfect photographic atmosphere for your special day with was perfect for us and video terms for the ceremony, as we had soo much space.

The boys prayed before the girls got there by thanking god for such an amazing day, by then the priest by the name of John Mac Donald whomhad showed up with both a monologue seeking both from traditional senses and more modern.

When Rhiannon came walking down the aisle she was a sight to behold, with her vintage gown swaying around the flats she accessorised with her look. After the formalities were conducted, we all took the bridal crew around the gold course area, looking over the whole site for the best photo/video! Eventually we separated the bridal party. It was a massive bridal party consisting of 10 of Reece & Rhiannon's closest friends, what was even better was they were a fun group to be around. This made the job for video a lot easier as we require live action footage. You could always count on the best man to be cracking a few jokes or two in the corner, and his speech lived up to expectations.

By dividing the crew and Reece & Rhiannon apart as we wanted to get some more close up and intimate shots of the couple, but wanted some killer bridal crew shots as well! Throughout the bit of time we had, the bridal party kept the energy up and full swinging with the bend and snap coming out to play throughout the photo section.

By the time it was almost time to head back into the reception, we took the couple aside once more  to get some Dusk shots before they had to enter the reception, still even the few minutes away from their friends didn't stop the energy buzzing as when it came time to enter the reception the emotions were up and running with the speeches!

Between crying and laughing, we couldn't seem to keep up, Reece & Rhiannon's speeches were both tasteful and hilarious with a few tears escaping when the girls got up on stage to share a few heartfelt memories. The boys brought it back home though by keeping everyone up with a few laughs and jokes about the past.

You could tell Reece adored Rhiannon, watching back at the footage of the couple, especially as Rhiannon descended down the stairs, his eyes welled up with tears, and this raw feel of emotion is amazing for videography terms, as it captures as pure moment.

Brendan & Heidi's Wedding Video & Photography, Coolibah Downs Private Estate, Hinterland Wedding Venue, Gold Coast

Hi fellow wedding lovers Rob here thanks for taking the time to have a quick read view some images and watch 6 minutes of joy, fun, love and laughter. Now onto our stars of the day Brendan & Heidi (oh and the bundle of joy (mason), I meet up with them first at a coffee shop after one of the bridesmaids Bex sent them my way. Its great when I meet clients through friends as their is a level of trust already built. I got along with them so well and didn't take long before learning a bit about their story, How they met, Proposal details etc. I was excited to hear they wanted to go ahead, I kept in regular communication and we also met closer to the wedding to do a full run through of the day ad talk about the images they like and what they like, loved and didn't like about not just our videos but all wedding videos online.

After many years of weddings and clients I have learnt that the connection I build with my clients reflects directly into their photo and video, Their are many photographers and videographers out their that are perfect technically but they don't care about the clients they don't feel the emotions. I feel that is my advantage I LOVE connecting with my clients before their wedding day. It makes them relaxed and even excited when I arrive to start shooting. I feel every moment and because i can see and feel it, it allows me to capture it on camera. Yesterday I had the pleasure of having Brendan & Heidi into our studio to watch their video and go threw their images. It was such a great experience seeing their emotion & happiness.

Anyway back to the day, They selected our Premium package which included a  team of four, we went our seperate ways with one photographer & one videographer with each of the Bride & Groom.

The boys were located right next to the reception which was terrific. Walking straight in with a game plan to find what suit Brendon would be wearing was our first option along with his other accessories including pants, buckle etc. With a groomsmen crew of four, it was shaping up to be a fun and eventful day, and what was better was the motorcycle entrance. The crew started off with cracking a few jokes and sharing a few drinks before it was time to get ready. Before we knew it, Brendon and his group were starting up the motorcycles and we were off to the ceremony. we stopped mid way to get a few motorcycle shots and wide video angles, before we continued on.

The Girls had a great spot for their getting ready process Heidi & the girls where loving the morning, Heidi looked amazing & the moment her dad saw her he felt the same as his tears started flowing and soon after a few of my own the girls joined him its moment like these that make me realise I have the best job ever!!

As the white limo turned up right out the front of the chapel, it was game time, and the bridesmaids got out in dresses matching the cream and pinks bouquet. Heidi was a sight to be hold, with a full veil and her hair done up and draped to the side, her make up was flawless and her eyes gleamed with happiness, this was perfect for photo/video as it was just effortless to capture such a happy and glowing bride.

The glow didn't stop there though, it continued on like a shine all the way down the aisle to Brendon. Before that though, their adorable son Mason took to the aisle first showing everyone how to do it properly in his cute suit.

After the formalities were concluded it was the photo section and the elements were definitely playing in any photographer/videographers favour today, it also helped that we had an AMAZING location. with the natural light still playing in our favour we took the bridal crew outside and around. with the natural shrubbery surrounding us, we accrued some boy/girl images and lets not forget to mention the couple images/video we snapped up. we didn't stop there though, we took to an off location sight not far away, to find the perfect hinterland spot right when dusk was starting to occur.

Between battling the roads as we were shooting across from one, and trying not to laugh ourselves as the bridal crew cracked up jokes left, right and centre, we were left with too many great images to choose from and a smile that didn't leave our faces.

We got back just in time for the reception, and Coolibah Downs Private Estate had done it up to perfection. as we entered the white tent, their was a wide dance floor station in the middle, with an array of grouped with tables siting around, this sometimes can be difficult shooting for the photographer/videographer but with enough room to squeeze in and deliver perfection we excelled.

Please take some time to view Brendan & Heidi's Video & Images, Would love to see a comment or share our post.

Justin & Soraya's Intercontinental Wedding Video

It was an exciting day ahead with j'adore getting to shoot another wedding at the Intercontinental Sanctuary Cove resort. having previously shot their multiple times over the span of the year, the crew was familiar with the venue and the space around the venue.

Turning up at Justin's apartment where he was getting ready, the groomsmen were full in action, with a few beers being shared around, they got right into the action of things as Justin & his crew needed to catch their Helicopter to the Sanctuary Cove Chapel, and we didn't want to miss anything! He was very much a boys boy and was great to see that him and his mates where so close and had a obvious bond. It was also obvious how much he cares for Soraya and her wedding dream as when Rob arrived Justin had all the guys suits and accessories set out just like in some of the videos they had liked.

We only spent a short amount of time with the boys before, we needed to head off to Soraya and her girls, so the team of two on video for the whole day went down the road to this private house by the water, where Soraya was getting ready. We can't stress to our brides enough the importance of the placement of where she is getting ready. Soraya was nervous but the comfort of her bridal party and the girls kept her smiling and calm throughout the getting ready process. With a wide and open space, and the whole room coming through with natural lighting, Soraya did perfectly, the was outdone was her exquisite wedding gown and a train anyone would kill to have!!

When it was time to read the letters from both sides, it was amazing to see that both of them was a bit emotional, while reading there letter which is so great to see these are J'adore couples. This is the type of love we want to capture and the people we want to spend our days with as this show another different element and feel of true love.

It was time to set off to the ceremony and everything was coming together smoothly. Previously having a J'adore crew shooting at a previous wedding at the same ceremony earlier that day, I was confident in the day turning out to be pretty epic! The Wedding Co-ordinator David was amazing help, with the help of effectively being able to know where everything was, i was able to get everything set up before I had to head off and shoot Justin's 'movie' like entrance. I remember in the speeches the best man speaking about Justin loving a grand entrance; well nothing could have prepared me for such a awesome landing. With two helicopters landing down to the side of the chapel, I got some landscape shots of the groomsmen exiting the helicopter before going in for some more close up shots of Justin exiting his helicopter.

This made for some pretty amazing footage, and Justin definitely nailed his entrance, still  he was needing to face his soon to be bride and I couldn't wait to see the connection they both had when Justin saw her for the first time. He seemed to be getting a little more nervous as the minutes ticked by, and the whole feel of the venue was so excited to see their beautiful bride walk down the aisle. First Soraya's bridal crew turned up in their floor length pink bridesmaids gowns lining up to the side out of the crowds views.  Next Soraya was to turn up accompanied by her proud father. The emotions were flowing as the bridesmaids started to make their transition down the aisle.  Soraya was crying when she started to walk down the aisle and Justin wasn't much better, with the lip quivers and the tears gleaming in his eyes, you could tell these two were going to be a beautiful match.

The photos section was a lot of fun with the official stuff out of the road the whole bridal party relaxed and let there hair down. we got to have a bit of fun with the drone and the whole bridal crew, so we set them apart with a boy and girls trio getting them to dance around and just have a blast, soaking up today. Then we brought our couple together for some more intimate moments by the intercontinental fountain before heading of to the reception. Justin and Soraya came storming into their reception with Justin carrying Soraya bridal style.  Just when I thought that they had already laid their hair down and started having fun at the photos section I was surprised  to find they have a few levels left as the party started. Tt really was great to be a extended part of the bridal party and had a great night throughout the night, even after some convincing with Justin to have a drink when ending the night.

It really is guys like these that make our job so special, I sometimes feel that having shared these moments so closely with them will leave a bond for a long time to come and I look forward to sharing the next drinks with these amazing individuals.

Gold Coast Engagement Video shoot, Bryn & Sophie

Creating engagement videos has been a recent escapade that J'adore has been slowly trying to build up.  We love doing photo/video sessions as it brings us closer to the clients. Knowing about the journey and how two people ended up at this point gives us more of a creative edge that we can bring forth with our products.

We are always asked "What do you expect for an engagement shoot" And to put it simple, you need to just come to the setting with an open attitude, The first thing we try to aim for at the start of every engagement shoot, is understanding again how the journey came about.

We had the great pleasure of shooting Bryn and Sophie's engagement video, With just five weeks before their wedding, We were more than keen to get just a little bit of insight into the couple before they decided to make those final steps.

By the time the couple came in, we were prepared with a series of basic questions that gave us a bit of insight. Bryn went first after being lapelled while Sophie went to The Paper Cup cafe right around the corner from the studio.  Rob got straight into the questions ranging from how they first met, to where he proposed.

Once Bryn was finished giving Rob a bit of insight onto the journey it was Sophie's go.  My favourite question that always get's a teary reaction is how they propose. Hearing Sophie's side gave us a little more entail to the selfie stick in Japan situation, yet Bryn pulled out all stops even while holding the ring two days around Japan prior to the proposal.

Once we got to the Ashmore Botanical Gardens, the both of us set up our cameras with Robs gimbal, and my monopod ready to go. Instantly Bryn and Sophie glided together, and you could tell that this was the natural way they were together, they just meshed, Sophie would make the funny faces that would get Bryn cheekily smiling; and it was beautiful just watching them both so naturally act together.

This little love story, is only going to get more exciting, with Bryn & Sophie's wedding coming up up at Cedar Creek Estate Vineyard & Winery, there are exciting times looming ahead, and the J'adore team can't wait to be apart of it!

Hot Air Balloon Surprise Proposal Cunungra Gold Coast

I was excited from the very first moment I spoke to Brenton about doing video for his proposal. I love capturing people's emotions with my and enjoyed the prospect of being able to tell a love story like this from the start.

So when he told me the plan was to do it after a hot air balloon ride, I got even more excited. They where heading to the Gold Coast on holiday from Canada so via email we started to talk about ideas, songs as well as our back story on how to make my attendance believable to his partner and soon to be fiancé Tasha.

Hot Air was the company Brenton decided to go with and they where amazing and where happy to go along with us and we decided the best plan of attack was to say that I was doing a promotional video for Hot Air.

So the big day arrived and I set my alarm for 3.30am as it was a early start to head out to the location, We jumped on the bus and headed out to Canungra where we where told the pilots where trying to find a suitable spot for take of but would have to head out to Beaudesert  as winds where high.

Sadly enough we arrived to see the winds had not laid up and not before long where told that today wasn't going to be our day and that we had the option to either get a refund or try again at another time, so we decided to try again the following day.

Again we arrived at Canungra to hear the pilots plans, with rain in the air I expected to be told that we would have to return again the following day. Instead we where told that the pilots had a spot for take of and all was good to go.

We arrived to see the balloons up and before long we where up in the air. It was such a AMAZING experience I got some great footage of the scenery and the couple. We had to land earlier then planned as there was still some rain around but we spent 40min up in the air which I think we where all happy after a landing I quickly got things setup as we decided Brenton would propose down on the ground. The moment really was perfect!!!

We then headed off to O'Reillys for a champagne breakfast and then went for a stroll around the vineyard. Which I think was a really nice way to finish of the video.

I really hope with all my heart I was able to tell the story via the video of this amazing couple and their special morning. I got to editing straight away as they decided to make the announcement with the video so we couple up a few time over the following wee, Brenton understandably wanted to keep an eye on his project and together I think we achieved the Magic we where looking for.

We are so excited to announce after being apart of this special moment with this fantastic couple they have asked us here at Jadore Weddings to be apart of there weddings day in Costa Rica on November 2nd so stay tuned for another adventure.

I would love to do some more of this sort of work I feel like when you experience something like this with a couple it really does connect us and I have told them to book my flights for the wedding and I will be there to shot that as well and continue the story. Contact Me now if you are thinking about your proposal and lets create some MAGIC!!
